This is only song that is in the very later stages of writing - originally entitled “Catharsis” it’s originally a 3 minute romantic piece, featuring a lot of string work. It’s a selfish story about finally accepting the need for help, but indulging in the feeling. It’s also the first song I wrote in the style.
Release notes:
- Bit of sub work, so worth a listen with a full range hifi or decent headphones
Upcoming changes:
- Some piano and string parts need re-taking
- Will probably eventually we work lyrics, but enjoy the tone of this release
- Might look at having a female vocalist re-do

Numb
I had forgotten just how good this catharsis could feel
I should have known I couldn’t let the lesions heal
It let’s me float, it let’s me fly and it dissolves away
The apathy that shadow looming in my day
These four nights have felt like forever
As I let my paranoia soothe and sever
Chasing these shadows in the darkness
Drowning out the memory comes catharsis
The rain pours down, the damn is breaking
And everything I didn’t feel is taking
I can feel it again slowly making
The nothingness leaves and it leaves me shaking
These four nights have felt like forever
As I let my paranoia soothe and sever
Chasing these shadows in the darkness
Drowning out the memory comes catharsis
I had forgotten just how good this catharsis could feel
I should have known I couldn’t let the lesions heal
The rain pours down, the damn is breaking
And everything I didn’t feel is taking
I can feel it again slowly making
The nothingness leaves and it leaves me shaking
